LeahCatt

LeahCatt of NLP forum fame sent me a couple of tempting snaps, including the one pictured above. What can I say? Sex blogging certainly does have its fringe bennies. I’m thinking about adding a dirty pictures section to the forum so all y’all can share the oodles of pervy images you have under secret folders (labeled Important Work Stuff, natch) on your hard drives. In the meantime please make sure to let LeahCatt know what a hottie she is—it’s too bad Australia is so very far away.

My new baby, ethnorotica, was just Fleshbotted today, and in the week since launch the site’s received an even warmer reception than I’d expected (Chelsea Girl in particular had some blushingly nice things to say, and Bacchus, Lori and Bad Man were among the first to take notice). Once we get settled into a groove over there I’m considering putting out a call for contributors.

The next secret project here at the naked skunkworks is thundering along; Anya has taken the idle, drunken “what if?” moment I had several weeks ago and spun it into pure gold. And along those lines… it looks as if a television producer wants to do a segment on a real-life naked loft party in the very near future. The timeframe is a little tight and, well, there’s some pressure to put New York City’s best foot forward, but I think we can pull it off.

God I’m starting to sound like Rachel Kramer Bussel. Speaking of RKB, I witnessed her at the House of Ass party getting a tonguedown from DCypher, the dude she mentions in her most recent Voice column. At the time (I think Leslie was busy flirting with Justine Joli) I didn’t know what the fuck was going on. Now I do.

Finally, I’ve been remiss in linking Dacia’s and Viviane’s new projects, SugarClick and TGP.com, respectively. I know from recent conversations that they’ve both been busting their asses. I’m going to kindly ask Sam to refrain from launching 100,000 more sites for the time being—it’s getting hard to keep up with all the frenzied activity in the sexblogosphere these days.

ethnorotica: Sex, Race and Culture

Tony: “You know, sometimes what happens in here is like taking a shit”

Dr. Melfi: “I prefer to think of it more like childbirth.”

Tony: “Trust me, it’s like taking a shit.”

Secret project number one is complete. Have a look:

ethnorotica: Colorful commentary on sex, race and culture

I won’t launch into a long-winded explanation of the whys and wherefores here—any questions you might have are best answered in the first post:

There’s plenty of hot, sex-positive erotica emerging on the internets—alternative, glamour, fetish, and amateur girl-next-door to name but a few categories that are heating up right now. But there’s a catch. The producers of new wave erotica don’t seem that interested in non-white models and performers. I don’t think it’s intentional, necessarily: we just live in a culture that values white beauty above all else. Chances are that first magazine you snuck a peep at on the newsstand was a Playboy or a Hustler featuring page after page of lily white. The message is internalized. “Women of Color” aren’t so much excluded as overlooked, easily filed away under fetish.

This is where ethnorotica comes riding in on a multi-hued horse. Just as there are alternatives to “cum-soaked fuckholes,” there are alternatives to “me luv u long time.” We’re going to shine a light on the best in ethnic erotica and maybe, just maybe, jam your cultural radar while we’re at it.

I’ll be rolling out new features over time, and I’m quite certain there are a few bugs to squash, so bear with me. If you want to trade links use the automated form in the right hand column; just send traffic and you’ll be listed automagically.
